IFS Therapy & Neuro-Relational Support

Reconnecting with Your True Self
At Noriko Noda Medical & Coaching, therapy is not limited to symptoms or diagnoses. We focus on understanding and supporting the whole person. Sessions are primarily based on IFS (Internal Family Systems Therapy), and may also integrate Havening Techniques® and approaches that respect neurodiversity.
IFS (Internal Family Systems Therapy)
IFS was developed in the 1980s by Dr. Richard C. Schwartz, a family therapist in the United States.
- Our inner world consists of multiple “parts” (inner characters).
- Some parts carry past wounds (exiled parts), while protective parts take on specific roles in daily life to shield the individual from that pain.
- Through gentle exploration, we can ease conflicts between parts and heal the pain caused by trauma, anxiety, shame, or self-criticism.
IFS is effective for PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, addictions, chronic pain, and more. It emphasizes reconnecting with the Self, beyond diagnostic labels, making it suitable for those seeking deeper self-understanding and self-compassion.
Havening Techniques®
Havening was developed in the 2000s by Drs. Ronald and Steven Ruden in the UK. It is a psychosensory therapy based on touch and neuroscience.
- Uses gentle touch (arms, hands, face) combined with imagery and words.
- Aims to calm the amygdala and reduce the impact of traumatic memories and fear responses.
Applied in PTSD, anxiety disorders, phobias, acute stress, grief, chronic pain, and self-criticism. Havening is used internationally, including in emergency care, war trauma support, and disaster recovery. When combined with IFS, it enhances emotional safety and allows for deeper psychological healing.
